On Sunday, 20 June, join refugee and local communities from Wellington, Porirua and the Hutt Valley for this year’s exciting activities, which include two football matches, a cultural festival, delicious, great value ethnic food, and a tree planting event in partnership with Rotary Club of Wellington
The activities will start at 10 AM at Newtown Park and go all day, so stop by whenever you can. We will even have face painting for the kids!

Approximately 24% of the 750 refugees that arrive in New Zealand each year are settled in Wellington, the Hutt Valley and Porirua. This equates to about 180 refugees arriving in the Wellington area each year.
We hope you’ll join us at Newtown Park on Sunday, 20 June 2010 to recognize these amazing members of the Wellington-area community!
