Furniture and household donations

Refugee background families often arrive with little more than a suitcase or two, and we rely on the generosity of the community to help turn their houses into homes.

We often need the following items:

• furniture including beds (with bases), drawers, dining sets and sofas;
• kitchen items including dishes, pots and pans, cutlery and small appliances (toasters, kettle, etc); 
• electronics, including tvs, radios and computers (very helpful for learning English and in case of emergencies);
• and manchester, including towels and bedding.  

If you have something you would like to donate, contact the Refugee Service office nearest you. Please keep in mind that we often have limited storage space, so it's possible that we might not be able to collect your items right away.
